The INSPIRA project began on November 8, 2024, and will be carried out over the course of one year. It includes two pilot units located in rural areas of Ecuador, selected for their marked differences in educational, social, and economic aspects. One is in Colta, Chimborazo province, a predominantly indigenous area with high vulnerability and limited access to technological resources. The other is in Calderón, Pichincha province, a rural area undergoing urbanization, characterized by greater social diversity and better educational access. Both units allow for evaluating the project's impact in contrasting contexts, promoting equitable access for girls and young women to the STEM world through immersive virtual reality experiences.

We develop awareness campaigns aimed at parents and teachers, with the goal of raising consciousness about the importance of breaking gender stereotypes in access to science and technology. These actions have strengthened community engagement with the project. Soon, we will take a crucial step by getting to know the characteristics, interests, and dreams of the girls and young women who will experience exploring the STEM world through virtual reality, opening new opportunities for their future.
El proyecto INSPIRA se destaca por motivar a niñas y adolescentes a explorar carreras STEM, integrando realidad virtual e involucrando a comunidades rurales y educativas.
